New Gadget Madly In Hope

Hi Srutibox and Droneo fans!
I've been a little remiss giving out tips for interesting drones, so here's one now:
I've been making thick textures using either of these programs by setting two or three reeds to the same intervals and turning on the random feature, and adding some chorusing. Bt using the churn feature and setting both voices to something similar (or the same for that matter), but with a different mix of reeds, you get a very nice movement going on.
Droneo users can get added movement by using the Evolving voices for this. I think I spent about an hour listening to an Evolving 4 patch set up this way .
The drone apps are really pretty powerful and flexible... while the individual reeds have strictly harmonic partials, there's nothing to keep you from setting up a few reeds to fill in the inharmonic partials.

I've been working on the "social networking" aspects of Loopi - the ability to save "loopi voice" files to a net repository, tag them, describe them and control their permissions as to who can see them. A lot of that is not done yet, but, another thing I'm working on is saving the audio in various formats. for instance, if you save it as m4a (mp4) with a suffix of m4r,it's a ringtone that can be downloaded from the repository and opened in iTunes, ready to synch to the iPhone.
This example came from the iPhone, not the simulator:
Click and open in iTunes
I'm wondering if m4r's opened in Safari on the phone install themselves as ringtones. I suspect not. That would be too easy!

My favorite radio station ever! Now my favorite iphone app, none even come close. Awesome music & talk programs. Too Many original, handcrafted programs to name. My favorite show is The Best Show On WFMU With Tom Scharpling, Tuesdays 8-11pm (eastern). WFMU is cutting edge & now it's at the tips of my finger, always. Thanks!
