Fern

Fern
I was interested in the unfolding of the ferns in our garden. Ferns display classic "fractal"
symmetry, but I didn't exploit that fact in this rendering.

Wave on the Beach

wave on the beach
There's a rhythm of waves on the beach - that this animation doesn't really catch,
but it's a motif that I'd like to bring into these animations from time to time,
since wind is also a wave-like motion.

Moire vs. blue patch

Moire vs. blue patch
This short animation contrasts the fascination with moiré patterns and the antics of the black and blue shape flitting above it.

Vaporous Reality

This one is a little different:
A panorama turned into Quicktime VR format.
Click on the image and move the mouse around!
Shift zooms in, control zooms out.
If this doesn't work, well, you can try getting a fresh Quicktime plug-in from Apple.
I'm rather surprised more people aren't making QTVR pictures by hand instead of using photo panoramas.

Here also is the original, which is rather large.
