AUMI! and more
On June 1, 2013, my app AUMI, written or Deep Listening Institute, went live! AUMI is a music app that tracks motion in video to trigger sounds or play MIDI.
we have great hopes that AUMI will allow severely disabled people to play music and to get some audio biofeedback, and have some fun!
Also, we, the temporarily abled, can also enjoy it. It runs on all iOs devices with front-facing cameras.
Meanwhile iOs7 is removing the way most of my synthesis apps make their audio. This probably means that people running my apps on older devices will not be able to update them (because Apple doesn't support old iOS versions too well . They think history started with the iPhone 4 and iPad (1). and that original iPad is rapidly being left behind.
So , I'll have to swap out my audio engines and get all that running .
Some apps may have to be retired out of the store, I think.
23 July
synthicity itself 1.2.1 is in the store
it's not that different, but it's a little mooe efficient and can do 64 voices if you are careful.
19 July
synthicity 1.2.1
nobody _should_ care, but there's a new synthicity coming that's a bit improved from 1.2. the main think you may notice is that it goes up to 64 voices if you have a fast enough machine and you drop that sample rate.

Sale, sale, sale
For no particular reason, I'm dropping the price of all my paid apps to tier 1 (0.99)until the end of May. Let the downloading begin!

I am still here
I bet you think I've stopped working on these apps -- but you are so very wrong.
I'm trying to get some more of them out the door and push a few updates as well:
Meanwhile, I'm also writing a few apps for other people that you should be seeing ... when they are done.
things with some kind of updates:
Droneo - I'm mostly working on the new doc file and getting some of the evolving stuff to behave again.
Enumero: more kinds of counting, and I hope better phonetic synth.
Tondo: I haven't been thinking about it too much, but the new version is Universal.
synthicity itself: a few more kinds of sounds
things that oughta get released sometime:
Ellipsynth: the granular synth which is like synthicity.
Sonoctopus: is getting a major rethink to help organize your sonic material better.
Tines: this may not come out, but it's a sample player based on my little music box, and it also can play by itself (and act as a MIDI receiver)
an as-yet-unnamed super cheezy General Midi synth.
Oradaio: plays internet radio streams like an instrument (tip o' the hat to John Cage)
Synaestesia: turns live video into audio in a number of ways
Cake Clock: the worst clock app you've ever seen.
